Today I once again spoke with Lyo, asking her the methods for telling herbs that cure from herbs that kill. She taught me rules that Nature follows, about the shapes of leaves and the number of petals in a flower, and whether a stem has hairs on it. There was nothing of the old gods or forest spirits in her lesson today, so I do not think this constitutes a sin. However, I grant that conversing with a witch is always a spiritual danger, so I confess it here to be safe.
(Response from Fr. Josephus: my son, I do not think such a conversation with Mistress Lyo is a sin. If it were, we might anticipate your sinning again within a day, since we continue to travel with her. Do you believe you are sinning, and do you intend to stop and do true penance? If not, I cannot consider this proper confession.)
I shall have to think on that, Father. In the meantime, I will record all that I know I have done. We can parse out what is and isn't a sin later.
Our party of Lyo, you, and me, continues on the road to Vilainvue where we have been summoned by the Wizard King Sagramore.

Our last adventure on behalf of King Sagramore was the rescue of his son and daughter from their kidnappers. Saving a prince and princess and preventing a war, that wasn't a sin, was it?
(Josephus: I wouldn't say so, no.)
Well then. We're off to see what King Sagramore wants this time. And it will be good to see our friends Igraine and Brunor again.
